On Google Chrome OS and why I don’t use Linux anymore

John Gruber has an excellent commentary about Google’s announced plans to develop a desktop operating system called Chrome OS. This system, like their mobile platform Android, will run the Linux kernel, which has made some people in the Linux community upset about possible (further) fragmenting of the Linux code and user base.
