This requires the leadership of tenured professors who are not as vulnerable during this period of transformation.  What are we doing to help young biblical scholars and teachers find a dynamic, healthy world of scholarly communication online?  The current generation of graduate students are “digital natives,” as are all of our students.  Scholarly publishing must move forward not simply by adapting the current market-driven approach to digital distribution (i.e., expensive online subscriptions), but by rethinking the way that scholarly communication is structured, mediated, and valued.
