MIT faculty vote to make their articles free and open

MIT faculty have voted to provide open access to all of their scholarly articles. Here is the link from the MIT news office. Go read that press release as well as this article.
Two points:
- We’re living in the future. Anyone who relies on the old print-for-profit model needs to do some thinking.
- I love Hal Abelson.
